Will came to the Diocese of Alabama as a presenter at our Fresh Start program. What a powerful presentation that was alive and full of extremely useful resource information for clergy in transition! Will presented a direction for clergy coaching that was not only useful but extremely informative to the group. As Deployment Officer for the Diocese of Alabama I can only encourage other dioceses to invite Will and his sidekicks to your diocese as a wonderful tool in facilitating both clergy wellness and ministry effectiveness.

We invited Will to come into our diocese and lead a clergy Ember Day in support of our clergy wellness focus. Beyond a shadow of a doubt Will was a spirited and enthusiastic person who came well prepared to deliver a dynamic and balanced program consisting of truth, practical application and humor. Not only did Will give this presentation, but also he offered us his follow-on services by way of individual clergy coaching assistance. As a genuine practitioner of the Christian faith, he has devoted his life, ministry and mission to the goal of spiritual centeredness and caring for others, which can be a vital diocesan asset.

Through working with Will, my associate and I were able to regain a sense of deep enjoyment of ministry, rekindle creativity, and transform our approach to dealing with challenges. His enthusiastic and collegial style was just what we needed. I would recommend his coaching support to anyone interested in developing or restoring a sense of joy to life and ministry.
--The Rev. Rob Bethancourt, Rector, Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Fullerton CA
Will's coaching was very helpful to me, enabling me to refocus my energies and vision after our parish was "hard-hit" by a 25% exodus following actions of General Convention in 2003. His informal, yet "no nonsense" style fit my personality perfectly. I would be happy to recommend his work.
--The Reverend Michael Freeman, Rector, St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church, Gainesville GA
My experience working with Will Thompson is one of challenge, growth, and support. I have worked with Will for over 2 years, and have enjoyed his sense of the absurd, appreciated his integrity, and trusted his competence. Will provides a framework within which my goal remains clear and we conduct our work in emotional and spiritual safety. I am living more with joy, and am learning that "it doesn't have to be hard"!

Being in a coaching relationship with Will was energizing, growth producing, stretching, challenging, affirming, and door opening. He easily pulls from his multidisciplinary skills to help one work on a variety of personal and professional levels . . . all at the same time. He is therapist, play pal, minister, and mentor all wrapped into one wise coach.

Our Vestry Retreat with Will, first and foremost, was FUN! And, given the rather painful time we have been going through lately, he truly was the "breath of fresh air" we needed. He has a wonderful way of being firm without seeming to be aggressive, and was able to "tell it like it is" in a way that did not make people uncomfortable. We learned very valuable leadership skills that we could implement immediately as soon as we got back to the church. I think we all came away from the Retreat feeling it had been well worth our time and thoroughly enjoyable.
